Russia’s Federal Financial Monitoring Service (Rosfinmonitoring) is pushing to impose criminal liability on illegal cryptocurrency miners, alleging their operations facilitate money laundering. The agency, collaborating with the Finance Ministry and Central Bank, also seeks administrative penalties for offenders.
